European Women in VC co-hosted a lunch with Goodwin and EIF, followed by a panel moderated by Kinga Stanislawska on the role of institutional capital in driving innovation.

Latvia’s state-owned finance institution Altum has joined European Women in VC to help drive greater diversity in venture capital. The move reflects Altum’s broader mission to combine strong returns with meaningful societal impact.

Participating in the high-level thematic exchange on “The Future of EU Competitiveness: the EU Budget”, Kinga Stanisławska, joined a panel that included leaders like Minister of Economy, Trade and Business in Spain, Carlos Cuerpo Caballero, Executive Vice-President Strategy of Airbus, Matthieu Louvot, Member of the European Parliament Carla Tavares, and Finnish Mayor Kai Mykkänen. Moderated by Henry Foy Brussels Bureau Chief, Financial Times, the discussion tackled Europe’s innovation capacity, digital transformation, and the urgent need for financial strategies to support long-term growth.

EIFO, Denmark’s national promotional bank and export credit agency, has officially joined the European Women in VC community. With a strong track record of supporting innovation and capital access, EIFO strengthens our mission to promote diversity and inclusion in venture capital across Europe.

Tesi’s 2025 study shows strong progress in sustainability among VC and PE investors, with ESG now central to strategies, reporting, and investment decisions. Impact assessment is growing but still less established.

During European Women in VC Lunch & Learn session, we explored the growing secondary market, discussing its expansion from 18% to 24% of the global market in 2023. Key topics included pricing strategies, earnouts, and the market's future with longer deal cycles and more liquidity.

Discussion at Wolves Summit highlighted the evolution of the European Innovation Council - from Pathfinder to STEP - and its growing impact.

The European Parliament's Pilot Project on the Gender Gap in Investments, managed by EISMEA, aims to address gender disparities in investments. Focused on women-led companies and funds, the project will use a comprehensive study to uncover the root causes of the gender investment gap and develop effective solutions.
