Where European venture capital meets institutional capital
European Women in VC was established in 2017 by sixteen managing partners of European venture funds. The network covers the EU27 and the United Kingdom and holds to venture and growth as a single asset class.
Members run funds from first close through to firms with over €1bn under management. Collectively the network manages more than €70bn.
Over 100 sessions delivered to date. Weekly, online, under Chatham House rules. Sovereign funds, pension funds, funds of funds and family offices meet European fund managers directly. The purpose is to shift asset allocation towards female led and co-led funds and to shorten fundraising cycles.
The network is genuinely pan-European and centralised. Members convene monthly online on the mechanics of the job, covering first closes, LP negotiation and building a corporate venture career, and in person across European financial centres through the year.
We work with the EIF, the EIB and the EIT, and with national funds of funds including Tesi, Bpifrance, EIFO and PFR Ventures. We advise the European Commission and have carried the support of two European Commissioners. We hold policy dialogue at senior level across member states.
The team spans general partners, corporate venture investors, founders and senior professionals from finance, consulting and the public sector.
